Top tips to support stomach acid!

Contrary to what mainstream health believes, acid reflux and heartburn etc is more likely to be a result of low stomach acid, not too much stomach acid. I bet you were told different, right?


Anyway, here are my top tips to support stomach acid production!




  1. Mitigate stress as much as possible

  2. Prepare to eat: slow down and take a few breaths before eating

  3. Eat slow and chew food until it is liquid, before swallowing

  4. Don't become distracted during meal times

  5. eat sufficient animal protein

  6. eat a variety of nutritionally dense, bioavailable foods

  7. Add sea salt to food

  8. Ginger, lemon and apple cider vinegar can help to stimulate stomach acid

Definitely not an exhaustive list, but a great place to start!
